Reliving Friendsgiving 2019

FRIENDS!!! So, I so badly wanted to have Friendsgiving this year because last year was soo much dang fun with the girls. I never got around to writing a blog last year about all the fun things that happened that day.. so what better time than NOW to write. Sippin a glass of wine and watching Dash & Lily on Netflix (soo soo corny but I am romantic and love that shit) lol with some cozy unmatched jammies on...wishing I was planning for Friendsgiving this year.. but it is 2020 so whatever y'all!! #friendsgiving #foodie #friendsgiving2020

When it comes to planning the perfect party and on a budget (ish) If you are new here, you will get to know me really quick, that I am extrrraaa, e x t r a. like guac girl, sorry not sorry. You know, it's one of those things.. I wish I wasn't cause I think how much money I would save but it's all about owning who we are right? Ok, but for party planning.. you def. want to use what you have to make things work for you. So you can ball out per say on the little things that make a party complete or give the table settings a POP! Do not be afraid to hit the dollar tree either.. it is what it is!

Few quick steps/tricks to help get the best planning going:

- Get a vision, create a pinterest board - you know the drill!

- Create the list of the gals, have your designer friend (me) whip up an easy invite to text or make a FB group about the friendsgiving day

- Def. let your friends bring something - accept the offer(update everyone what they all bringing) SO MUCH FOOOD!

- Hit the dollar tree, the flea market - whatever it takes to create the look!

- Do not forget the wine for mimosas!! or the splash of OJ :)

- Print off signs you make in Word or Google Doc lol and use picture frames you already have (cheap fixer party upper)

- Using Halloween pumpkins or Thanksgiving decor for your photos and props for the day are huge to save on party decor too

Biggest tip: do you, whatever that is. My party won't look like yours! That is fine :)

I also have a bestie that is wizard queen with her cricuit!! So00, she always brings my backdrop vision to life and it was AMAZE. I low-key but very high key want her and I to start an event planning business together (dream big right)Anywho... I am detailed kind of gal, so a lot of what I do for a party isn't always necessary you know? hahaha but I cannot help it! Really, all that matters is food, booze and laughter with the girls! All of those things happened 110% but the pretty pictures didn't hurt. The whole party planning and prep work is almost like a hobby to me. Friendsgiving was just another new one to add under the belt, isn't that what they say?!

I think one of the funniest parts of the Friendsgiving was coming up with all the corny punny sayings to put on lettterboards and signs to print out haha I live for that stuff!! Using the things you already have is so key to keep the budget of the party under control... which for meee is a challenge at times. Basically, let the good times pour (wink wink) + eat all the mashed potatoes and the pumpkin pie! Cherish the memories, glad I did last year... I will be reflecting on it this year wishing I was belling laughing for Friendsgiving and eating so much, that you I debate to unbutton the pants.. with the girls, whatever goes!
